We are excited to announce our $3.4M seed funding round led by Adverb Ventures and Abstract Ventures, with participation from HF0 and other angels.
GrantScout helps companies find grant funding opportunities and craft high quality proposals. Last year, the U.S. federal government alone awarded $17.8 billion to businesses as grants. However, finding a suitable grant requires a manual and time-consuming process of tracking grants across dozens of federal agencies, with a very low-probability of success.
With GrantScout, companies can apply for grants on demand and secure more non-dilutive funding – all without taking time away from their actual work.
We care about three things:
GrantScout has built AI-powered, comprehensive search tools so you can get personalized grant recommendations delivered to your inbox. And our models are trained with domain-specific knowledge from agency priorities and keystone docs, fine-tuned on hundreds of technical papers and winning grants. We also have expert grant writers on staff who proofread and perfect every proposal.
We’ve started by specializing in Small Business Innovation Research Grants (SBIRs), which provided over $3.5 billion across 11 federal agencies in 2023. By targeting SBIRs, a specific type of grant, we’ve been able to ensure our model’s high quality — over 95% of our customers have returned to us for their next grant.
It’s early, but we’re excited by GrantScout’s promise. We’ve recently helped an Army vet applying for his first SBIR; a startup spun out of Stanford creating a novel cancer diagnosis technique; and a high-growth Series A company that’s already won multiple government contracts. Most recently, one of our first clients used GrantScout to successfully place in the top 50 out of 1000+ submissions at this year’s xTechSearch, the Army’s only open-topic competition, and is now in the running for a $2 million prize.
This is a big milestone for our team at GrantScout, and my co-founder Jennifer Jang and I are grateful to have the support of top tech investors who believe in our mission to make grant funding more accessible. If you want to find out what grant funding may be available to you, get started on GrantScout today.
